Baião de Cordel is a brasilian music band from south of Brazil. The original formation that includes all the instruments that caracterize forró: accordion, zabumba and triangle, beyond the chorus of voices. Sometimes the team is increment with other instruments, like bass, cavaquinho or flaute.

The name alludes to the rhythm that is characteristic of the culture of the northeast of Brazil – the BAIÃO – and to the old northeastern literature: CORDEL.

Is the first and only band from Rio Grande do Sul to perform at national and international forró festivals, online and in person. Has a rich and dancing repertoire, make for all the people movie and dance together. 

Already did presentations in Malta (2022), was represented in Portugal and Espanha, trough the Folkfaro Festival 2022 to, where the accordioner played and the others dancing forró and samba, representing Brazil.
